Supervisor / Manager OHS Learning
Quotable Quote
"A health & safety problem can be described by statistics but cannot be understood by statistics. It can only be understood by knowing and feeling the pain, anguish, and depression and shattered hopes of the victim and of wives, husbands, parents, children, grandparents and friends, and the hope, struggle and triumph of recovery and rehabilitation in a world often unsympathetic, ignorant, unfriendly and unsupportive, only those with close experience of life altering personal damage have this understanding"

One role I had was as an internal OHS trainer for wages personnel, supervisors and management .I developed and delivered the following programs which were constantly upgraded.

Those responsible for developing S.W.P. |
Courses proved so effective they were made mandatory to progress through the supervisory ranks.
After the courses it was expected that the participants supervisor discuss the course with the participants and between them develop an action plan for implementing the lessons in the course.
Where the courses discussed hard skills eg. Accident investigation, J.S.A.’s etc. I attempted to coach / mentors in their tasks.
