Learning Policy
George Robotham Occupational Health & Safety & Learning Change Pty. Ltd.
George Robotham Occupational Health & Safety & Learning Change Pty. Ltd. aims to ensure high standards of learning for employees and client companies. The paper Adult Learning Principles and Process to be found on ohschange.com.au is the guideline used.
Employees
Employees must receive learning to ensure they can perform their tasks safety and efficiently.
It is recognised that OHS professionals require broad management skills as well as technical safety skills. Additional learning is encouraged and you are requested to submit a business case to prove the value the learning you wish to attend will bring to the business. Many safety conferences do not return value for money and automatic attendance should not be assumed.
Clients
Wherever possible a learning needs analysis should precede development of learning programs. Action and Experiential learning models shall be used and lecture-style presentations will be minimised. Be aware of “Death by Power-Point”
Accurate records of attendance will be kept and clients encouraged to use an assessment instrument after each major learning session.
